First Home state programme to be functional in Moldova starting from 26 March

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today welcomed the launch of the First Home governmental programme. Starting from 26 March 2018, beneficiaries of the programme will already be able to submit the set of documents to the banks participating in this programme, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
“I am happy that this idea, with which I came up back in 2016, was taken over and colleagues from the Finance Ministry worked very much and gave the final touches to this project. I thank them a lot for the fact that they understood quite clearly what is the direction in which we want to move when we speak about the backing of young families,” the prime minister said.
The PM specified that the programme would contribute including to the reduction of young people’s migration and gave assurances that the programme would have continuity. “Subsequently, we will come up with additional stimuli, first of all, for civil servants, after which it can be extended. We are sure that this project will be a success one.” Pavel Filip added.
The three banks participating in the programme, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank and Moldova Agroindbank, are prepared to receive the applications on financings within the programme as of 26 March, at the banks’ branches from all over the country.
Beneficiaries of the First Home programme can be citizens of Moldova aged up to 45 years, who have an official job. The programme’s implementation will be carried out through the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM), which is delegated to issue guarantees on behalf of the state in favour of the banks participating in the First Home programme. The loans meant for purchasing dwellings within the programme will be guaranteed by the state at a share of 50 per cent of the credit’s balance.
