Meteorologists forecast cold weather in coming days

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service today announced Yellow Code of low average temperature, which will be valid on 22-24 March.

According to meteorologists, the average air temperature will be maintained at 6-11 degrees below normal climatic points. Thus, the average air temperatures in the following days will be below zero, with the coldest in the northern region, where Friday and Saturday night will record to -10 -15 degrees.

Also, snowfall is expected by the end of the current week.

According to SHS specialists, the coldest period was in March 1952, when the average monthly air temperature oscillated between -3.7 and -6.1 degrees. In 1990 and 2017, March was the warmest, between +6.9 and +9.0 degrees.
