Citizens from over 30 countries to be able to travel to Moldova without visas

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- Parliament today adopted a draft law that provides for the abolition of the visa regime when crossing the state border of Moldova by citizens of 33 states.
The amendments to the legislation were supported by 60 MPs present at the plenary session.
Among the states which citizens will be able to travel to Moldova without visas are – Brazil, Colombia, United Mexican States, Republic of Guatemala, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Republic of Panama, Republic of Paraguay and Republic of Mauritius. At the same time, seven of the 33 states have unilaterally lifted the obligation to hold an entry visa for the citizens of Moldova.
According to the draft’s authors, this initiative will facilitate economic cooperation, investment attraction, tourism development and other priority sectors for our state, as well as possible future travel facilities for the citizens of Moldova.
