Government of Denmark donates over 160 IT equipments to Moldova's Prosecution bodies

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - The government of Denmark has donated over 160 equipments to the Prosecution bodies of Moldova.
The IT equipment was offered within a Council of Europe project, Support to criminal justice reforms in Moldova, financed by the Danish government.
The donation includes laptops, table computers and fixed phones, printers, scanners, projectors, servers, video cameras and other equipments.
Prosecutor General Eduard Harunjen said that the equipment would help improve the work of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Superior Council of Prosecutors, as well as of the specialized prosecutor’s offices, set up as a result of the institutional reformation.
“We welcome the constant support of the Council of Europe in backing and promoting the Prosecution’s reforms, by enhancing the institutional capacities, providing technical, financial and human assistance within more projects implemented. The process of Prosecution’s technical and material modernization will contribute to ensuring the efficiency of prosecutors’ work and will remove the technical barriers and administrative problems,” Harunjen said.
“The support was provided to adjust the Prosecution bodies to the European standards and the best practices,” the acting head of the Chisinau-based Council of Europe’s office, Eva Gutjahr, said.
The equipment donated has a value of two million lei. The Council of Europe project, Support to criminal justice reforms in Moldova, was launched in January 2015.
