Moldovan PM says most important thing to allow companies increase investments

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today visited the new factories of the Balti Free Economic Zone (FEZ), which was founded eight years ago. On this period, the value of investments in the FEZ Balti increased from 6.7 million dollars to 161.8 million dollars. Those 55 residents created over 6,200 jobs, with an average salary of about 11,600 lei, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM started his visit with a new hall of the second factory of the Draexlmaier producer of vehicle wiring, opened in late 2017. The carrying out of the investment project worth about 35 million euros allowed employing 1,000 people; this number is to be doubled till late 2018. At the same time, the company plans to open a new factory in the southern Cahul city.
Also, Pavel Filip visited the second recently opened factory of the Austrian company Gebauer & Griller, specialized in the production of wiring for the automotive industry and telecommunications. The investments for the construction of the new factory exceeded 20 million euros, with about 600 new jobs created.
The prime minister was informed about the work of the enterprises and discussed with employed the labour conditions, level of remuneration and social benefits employers are providing. Pavel Filip noted that most employees were young people, stressing, at the same time, that the carrying out of probations at factories offered them a string of advantages and prospects.
During discussions with the enterprises’ management, the PM said that the government further remained a reliable partner in doing business, attracting investments and creation of new jobs. “There is nothing more important but to give companies possibility to increase their investments,” the prime minister said.
For their part, representatives of the companies Draexlmaier and Gebauer & Griller said that the extension of business and starting of new projects had been possible due to ensuring the economic stability and friendly conditions created by the cabinet.
Also today, the PM visited the construction site of an industrial hall, with an area of 4,475 square metres, which represents a native investment worth 5 million euros. The construction is to be finished in next August.
FEZ Balti manages 11 subzones, placed in the three regions of Moldova. Among the advantages of the work of the FEZ Balti enterprises, there are a string of fiscal and customs facilities.
