Moldovan premier meets entrepreneurs from northern region

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, on a working visit to the northern Balti city, has met business people from the region and representatives of the local public authorities, to discuss present difficulties and measures due to be undertaken to back the development of the local entrepreneurship. 

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the PM said that the cabinet’s actions, aimed at stabilizing the economy, boosting the dialogue with the foreign partners and accessing financing prpogrammes, had yielded concrete results and new possibilities to continue the implementation of the reforms’ agenda. The prime minister referred to the reforms underway in the sectors of justice, education, health, as well as to measures undertaken by the government to facilitate the business environment’s work. Among them, there is also the institutional reform of the control bodies, cutting the number of permissive acts, as well as the improvement of the labour legislation.    

The dialogue had an open and interactive character. Entrepreneurs from the region touched upon the challenges they are facing, among which farmers’ access to water for irrigation, lack of labour force and the need to introduce a single tax in   agriculture. At the same time, the sides discussed issues of the development of roads’ infrastructure, local public money and access to drinking water.   

The prime minister said that each problem would be analyzed separately, in order to identify the best solutions to solve them. Pavel Filip added that the government’s efforts for developing settlements and backing the business environment would be continued.
