Rescuers, firefighters carry out over 50 interventions

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/- Rescuers and firefighters have made over 50 interventions in the last 24 hours in the south and centre of the country. At present, the crisis cells continue to operate to gather operative information and to act effectively liquidating the consequences of snowfall.
According to data by the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, several teams of rescuers and firefighters, patrol policemen and carabineers monitored several routes in the country to prevent risk situations and unblock the means of transport if needed. Before starting off, the intervention and rescue teams were instructed by the Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan. Subsequently, ten mixed intervention groups were created which traveled on the following routes: Chișinău – Călărași –Ungheni; Chișinău - Anenii Noi – Troița Nouă; Anenii Noi – Zlotievca – Constantinovca – Pervomaisc – Căinari; Chișinău – Aneni Noi – Bender; Chișinău - Bălți (M-14); Ștefan Vodă – Tudora - Palanca; Chișinău-Leușeni; Cricova – Criuleni and Criuleni – Bălțata.
According to the Defense Ministry, the National Army’s soldiers unlocked 33 heavy-duty cars and pulled out 35 people on the routes Bălţi - Ţiganca, Condriţa-Leuşeni, Chişinău-Cricova and M14 national road.
According to the Border Police, all border crossings located at the border with Ukraine and Romania operate under normal regime. Weather conditions did not affect their activity. At the same time, the border police officers acted to remove snow roads and will intervene promptly in case of unpredictable situations.
The Yellow Code of snowfall expired today. In the coming days, the weather is warming.
