Winter conditions on national roads

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/- There are winter conditions on the national roads, and 255 special vehicles and about 300 roadmen were involved in removing snow and spreading anti-skid material last night.
According to the State Road Administration, during this period, patrol, snow removal and anti-ice works were carried out on national roads. The special vehicles have spread 1,773 tons of anti-skid material.
At present, all hazardous sectors are constantly monitored.
According to the Defense Ministry, the National Army intervened with 82 soldiers and 14 technical units. 42 heavy-duty cars and vehicles have been unlocked.
Mobile teams, equipped with special technique, are formed in all military units of the National Army. The soldiers operated until 4:00. Currently, all mobile teams and equipment have returned to their permanent locations and are ready to intervene again.
The border police announced that the Cosauti crossing point has temporarily ceased activity due to the increase of the water level in the Dniester river. Thus, travelers can opt for the Soroca or Otaci crossings.
The Yellow Code of snowfall expired today. The air temperature of up to + 1 degree in the north of the country and +5 degrees in the south are forecast today. In the coming days, the weather is warming up, and by the end of next week, temperatures of up to +19 degrees will be recorded.
