Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ – More young persons from Gagauzia were trained during recent week by European experts how to create and start a non – governmental organisation (NGO).
Centre: Pro Europe in Comrat, in partnership with Slovak Foundation: People in Need and Government of Slovakia throughout Slovak Aid Assistance Programme supported those debates. European partners also promised financial support to young people in the autonomy who would like to launch NGOs, in addition to methodological support.
"Young people who have been trained will all have our support into creating new NGOs. We will help them to rent offices and acquire necessary technical equipment to enable starting of organisations," said Liudmila Mitioglo, director of the Pro Europe Centre in Comrat, quoted by gagauzinfo.md.
At his turn, Brano Tichy, executive director of the People in Need organisation, said that first of all young people need to understand what an NGO is, what it is and how to direct the potential of young people to solve problems in society. "Young people can be useful for society not only in Comrat, but also throughout Moldova. In Gagauzia I met active young people with initiative and interesting ideas," said the Slovak expert.
"We took new and interesting knowledge. After this training, I plan to open an organisation for protection of children's rights," said Mariana Hurciuc, a Comrat student.
Training in UTA Gagauz-Yeri is part of Pro – Europe Project: Building the Potential and Restoring Civil Society in Moldova, implemented by People in Need, funded by the European Union and Slovak Aid funded GaMCon programme.
