Moldovan foreign affairs minister invites companies from Emirates to invest in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova is interested in the attraction of investments from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and will provide every support to companies from Emirates in the implementation of investment projects in Moldova, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi made statements to this effect at a meeting with the director general of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) from Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction department, the Moldovan diplomacy head presented investment opportunities of Moldova, fiscal and other kinds of facilities, offered to foreign companies which invest in Moldova, as well as possibilities and the special geographical location investors may benefit from on the Moldovan market.
Minister Tudor Ulianovschi made an invitation to the Abu Dhabi-based Chamber of Commerce and Industry and companies which operate in the United Arab Emirates to visit Moldova, in order to collect facts deeper about investment and economic possibilities from Moldova.
For his part, the director general of CCI from Abu Dhabi stressed the importance of inviting business people from Moldova to visit Abu Dhabi, in order to present investment opportunities of Moldova at forums held in the United Arab Emirates, one of which would be CGIAR Middle East, due in Abu Dhabi in next December. Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi expressed the willingness of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Abu Dhabi to back Moldovan business people and companies willing to do business in this country or region.
According to data by the State Registration Chamber, nine companies with capital from Emirates work in Moldova, which invested about 40 million lei in the Moldovan economy. The foreign trade of Moldova with the United Arab Emirates recorded 4.35 million dollars in 2017, 2.3-fold more against the year before.
