Four persons, including three children, die in road accident in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ – Four people, including three children, lost their lives and four others suffered injuries after a road accident occurred on 18 July evening, near Leuseni village, Hancesti district.
According to police, a wagon with eight people was buffed back by a VW Sharan, while cart went the main road. The car was driven by a 34-year-old man. The driver moved from Leuseni Customs to Chisinau.
Following the accident, a woman of 25 and 3 children – 2 boys, of 4 and 16 years of age and a five-year-old girl, died, and two women, 21 and 26, a man of 28 and a teenager of 18 were traumatised. The injured persons were brought to district hospitals in Hincesti and Nisporeni.
Interviewed by agency, police general's press officer of General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Mariana Betivu, said the driver was detained for 72 hours. "During the road accident, the man was not drunk. Also, it is being investigated that he was moving at excessive speed. After the impact, the driver did not suffer," said Betivu.
The police instituted a criminal case to determine all circumstances of accident.
