Regulation on providing status of eligible producer in energy production sector to be published in Moldova's Official Journal

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - A regulation on the holding of tenders for providing the status of eligible producer in the field of production of renewable energy will be published in the 20 July issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).   

The regulation establishes the conditions due to be applied at the organization of tenders carried out to provide the status of eligible producer to persons who finance, build and exploit a power station which uses renewable energy sources.  

The tenders will be organized by a commission made up of five members. The investors who get the status of eligible producer will be obliged to construct and set to work the power station in a period of 36 months at the most.

The status of eligible producer might be withdrawn, if decision-makers find out that the concerned investor provided false information when presenting the bid, did not submit the guarantee on the fulfillment of the contract, did not construct and did not set to work the power station in the term set.    

The regulation will enter upon publication in the Official Journal.
