Speaker convokes platform of parliamentary consultation, control on implementation of reintegration policy of Moldova

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ – Parliament Speaker, Andrian Candu, has chaired today the Parliamentary consultative and controlling platform on implementation of reintegration policy of Moldova, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

One of addressed topics was Security Zone (ZS) and unauthorized displacement of military equipment. "We will continue to alert the international community and our partners about these cases. These incidents do not pose a threat to citizens of Moldova, but are rather a response message for efforts of authorities to withdraw foreign troops from the country. However, we need to be careful and monitor things further," said SP Andrian Candu.

The participants in discussion found that monitoring mechanism of ZS is deficient. Also, it was found a positive dynamic on regulatory agenda topics, especially in ensuring farmers access to agricultural lands on left bank of the Dniester river, telecommunications, free movement, functioning of schools with teaching in Romanian and bridge of Gura Bacului.

The meeting was attended by government dignitaries, representatives of Presidency, as well as MPs from more parliamentary factions. The parties discussed the state of process of negotiations on Transnistrian settlement, implementation of mechanism for access of vehicles from the Transnistrian region to international road traffic and extension of common control points throughout the central Moldovan – Ukrainian border.
