Three streets of Chisinau central area to be repaired in capital mode

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ – Three streets of Chisinau central area will be repaired in a capital mode during II-nd stage of the Programme for rehabilitation and modernisation of road infrastructure. Interim mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, inspected today str. 31 August 1989, which is one of the streets to be rehabilitated.
According to the Chisinau city hall’s information and media communication service, the visit on-site of capital's chief took place in context of beginning of rehabilitation works of engineering networks in the area. According to the worksheet, the first site will be organised on street section between str. Ismail – str. Tighina, where there will be carried out works for rehabilitation of aqueduct and sewerage networks. The second site will be organised on str. Tighina – str. Bulgara and will aim at rehabilitation of electrical and communication networks.
According to Ruslan Codreanu, the works on first section of street are complex, and in this sense, the transport circulation will be completely stopped for about a month. "The work is difficult because it will intervene at a depth of about 4-6 metres, and there are many engineering networks in this sector. I would like to mention that the municipality will ensure the respect of quality of works and during the entire process of street reconstruction, tenants and economic agents will have access to yard or offices in the area," said the chief of Chisinau.
The project "Chisinau – Drumuri Urbane" (Chisinau – Urban Roads) total value amounts to €22 million and it is financed by EBRD, European Investment Bank and EBRD Special Fund for Green Energy.
Totally, will be fully rehabilitated 6 streets in Chisinau, with a total length of 14.3 km. The first Street Package was completed amd covered bd. Stefan cel Mare si Sfant, bd. Constantin Negruzzi and str. Vasile Alecsandri, and Package № 02 includes the streets 31 August 1989, Alexandru cel Bun and Tighina.
