Moldovan premier meets young people from IT summer school

Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip has visited the Summer School of IT and Korean Culture. Over 100 teenagers and pupils from the Moldovan capital and its suburbs participate in the project, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM showed interest in the school’s syllabus, as well as the conditions in which the participants study. The young people said that they had occasion to spend their vacation in an entertainment way and, at the same time, usefully. At the IT classes, they study programming and learn how to create their own Android applications with the help of the App Investor platform.
For their part, volunteers teaching at the summer school, students of the Institute of Science and Technology Gwangju from South Korea told the prime minister that they liked Moldova very much, where they have a an unforgettable experience. On the period of stay in Moldova, they have occasion not only to share the experience from their knowledge and the Korean culture, but also to discover a new country, with picturesque places, tasty dishes and nice traditions.
The Summer School of IT and Korean Culture is at its sixth issue. The project is carried at the Moldova-Korea Information Access Centre, opened under the aegis of the Information Technologies and Communications Ministry on the period when Pavel Filip held the office of information technology minister.
