Children from 12 Moldovan districts to give concert at Chisinau-based Organ Hall

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - A choir made up of 20 teenagers from 12 Moldovan districts, representatives of various ethnic and social groups, who have not had possibility to study music so far, will give a concert along with the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra, represented by young musicians from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Germany, at the Organ Hall today at 19:00.
The concert is part of a project on musical inclusion, La La Play Voices. Those 20 teenagers participated in an artistic residence of inclusion through choral music, learning eight music works.
According to the organizers, the participation in the cultural and artistic life, in conditions of equality, is a right of each child. Children with special needs enjoy the same right to make their voices heard and children belonging to an ethnic minority cannot be deprived of the right to their own cultural life. The La La Play Voices project is the first project of musical inclusion.
The musical programme will contain works by Biber, Pärt, Haydn, Mozart, Mosiiciuc, Spătaru, Lazarencu, Țurcan, Ungur, Vilka, Lennon and Jackson. Cristian Spoataru will act as conductor. The project is part of a string of events of the kind Moldovan National Youth Orchestra for 2018 and comprises over 25 concerts.
The concert is organized by the Musical and Choral Association, in partnership with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Education, Culture and Research Ministry, East European Foundation, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Mihai Eminescu Romanian Cultural Institute in Chisinau and other institutions. The project on musical inclusion La La Play Voices is implemented within the Grants Programme 2018 for youth organizations.
