Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - More driver of mini-buses, carrying out regular routes, have been fined for violation of rules on passengers’ carriage. The sanctions were imposed, after employees of the National Road Transport Agency (ANTA), National Patrol Inspectorate (INP) and State Fiscal Service (SFA) had verified operators providing passenger transport services against payment, on regular routes.
The verifications were made at the exits from Chisinau. Following the checkings, in the Chisinau city alone, ANTA inspectors compiled 11 official reports on contravention and SFS inspectors – 13 official reports, the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry said in a press release.
„The control actions initiated are aimed at verifying the correctness of the providing of passengers’ carriage services, as well as the technical state of transport units. During the verifications, inspectors urged the passengers to claim their rights, including by demanding the travel ticket. Such actions will be carried out systematically,’’ the state secretary at the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, Serghei Bucataru, attending the carrying out of controls, said.
The control actions take place after, last week, Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici had summoned a meeting with ANTA employees, within which he demanded undertaking measures to solve problems of transport.
