Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - A special vehicle of the MAN type and a car with enhanced traction have been transmitted to rescuers from the south-eastern Stefan Voda district.
The vehicles were provided during a visit by the head of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Mihail Harabagiu.
According to the IGSU management, the technology is to be used for the most difficult interventions.
Also within the visit, the IGSU head and public authorities discussed the prospect for constructing a new unit of firemen in Stefan Voda, which will provide good working conditions for employees in the territory.
Data put out by IGSU shows that the construction of a new firemen unit would be possible due to a technical assistance project provided by the U.S. Government for 2020-2021. Under the programme, a new high-tech post will be built in the Stefan Voda district centre. Such projects have been carried out in Edinet, Comrat, Cimislia, Taraclia and Balti.
