French Foreign Affairs Ministry's official to visit Chisinau

Chisinau, 24 July /MOLDPRES/ - Head of the Continental Europe Directorate at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Florence Mangin will pay a working visit to Moldova starting from today till 25 July.
”This visit will be an occasion to reaffirm the wish of France to remain a close friend, an important political, economic and cultural partner of Moldova,” reads a press release by the Embassy of France.
The official will have meetings with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leanca and the head of the parliament’s commission for foreign affairs and European integration, Violeta Ivanov. Florence Mangin will have bilateral political consultations at the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry with the state secretary for bilateral and multilateral affairs, Tatiana Molcean.
The head of Continental Europe Directorate at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France will also meet Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Michael Scanlan, political scientists, representatives of the civil society, parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition.
The communiqué by the French Embassy also reads that “stressing the will of France to support Moldova on the way of reforms provided for by the Association Agreement, observing the conditions put by the European Union, Florence Mangin will express to the Moldovan authorities the concerns of France and European Union about the respect for democracy and rule of law state, after the invalidation of the results of the elections in Chisinau.”
