Moldovans with severe disabilities to benefit from home social care services, allocation for care, accompanying, supervision

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - The persons with severe disabilities from childhood and those with severe disabilities blind, who benefit from home social care services, starting from 1 September 2018 will receive on behalf of the state also the allocation for the care, accompanying and supervision, worth 820 lei per month. The cabinet today approved the notification on the draft law worked out to this end, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The measure is aimed at improving the living standards of the people with severe disabilities, through providing both the right to the home social care service, he/she presently benefits from, and the aforementioned allocation.
The allocation for care, accompanying and supervision will represent an additional source for beneficiaries, giving them possibility to meet the current expenses and fill the care activities.
The spending for providing allocations to those 268 present beneficiaries stands at 879,000 lei and will be covered from and within the limit of the sums of transfers from the state budget to the state social insurances budget, provided for 2018.
