Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - The faction of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) today walked out of the parliament’s session hall. The PSRM lawmakers said they would not take part in 27 July plenary meeting either, which is the last one in the current parliamentary session.
The head of the Socialists’ faction, Zinaida Grecianii, said that the decision was taken after the majority of the MPs had not backed proposals made by PSRM on the introduction of more subjects on the agenda. The proposals regarded demands on hearing more ministers and discussions on up-to-date topics.
„We walk out of the session hall as a token of protest. On these two days, we will go to the territory and will discuss with citizens what is happening in the parliament,’’ Grecianii said.
„You can make this gesture, as this is a democratic exercise,’’ Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu said.
The plenary meeting continued after the PSRM lawmakers had left the session hall, as the quorum was provided by the presence of 59 MPs.
