Regulation on work of service of social support for disadvantaged families to be published in Moldova's Official Journal

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - A framework regulation on the organization and work of the social service of monetary support for disadvantaged families and persons will be published in the 27 July issue of the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).  

The document sees that the disadvantaged families and persons will benefit from financial support on behalf of the state to overcome difficulties they are facing. The allocation will amount to 6,000 lei at the most and will be provided in a single payment and through monthly payments, for a period no longer than six months.    

The financial assistance could be used for the repair of the dwelling, buying fuel to cook meal and heating in the cold season, purchasing the furniture or footwear needed.  

The monetary support service will be established within the territorial social assistance structure. The beneficiaries will be selected by a special commission, after they are identified by the medical assistant, representatives of the public authorities and NGOs or at a direct request by the disadvantaged person. 

The spending for the organization and work of the aforementioned service will be covered with the financial means of the second-level local budgets, donations and grants.
