Moldovan foreign affairs ministers meets Swedish ambassador

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - Sweden is an important partner of Moldova, actively getting involved in the achievement of Moldova’s goals in terms of  European integration process, as well as in the carrying out social and economic programmes implemented by the authorities for citizens. Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi made statements to this effect at a today meeting with Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Signe Burgstaller, who ends her mandate in Chisinau, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.      

The two officials exchanged opinions on the present stage of the Moldovan-Swedish relations. Minister Tudor Ulianovschi said that Moldova was interested in the deepening of the bilateral ties, including through the carrying out of new assistance programmes for Moldova in various sectors.

After having made a review of the last developments of the bilateral dialogue, the Moldovan diplomacy head appreciated the Swedish ambassador’s active involvement in projects carried out with the support of the Stockholm authorities, especially of those on developing infrastructure, improving citizens’ living standards, etc.   

Ambassador Signe Burgstaller praised the bilateral cooperation during the entire mandate in Moldova. She highlighted the openness and interest of the Moldovan authorities in implementing as many as possible projects on the country’s multidimensional development. The Swedish diplomat reiterated her country’s interest in the development of the bilateral cooperation ties, including through carrying out of new projects in the social and economic fields.
