Moldovans awarded cross-type state distinctions to benefit from nominal allocations

Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The persons awarded cross-type state distinctions will benefit from a nominal allocation, according to legislative amendments adopted by the parliament in the first and second readings today.
Under the document, the quantum of the allocation will be of 100 lei per month. The people will benefit from the right to nominal allocation only if they are retired. At the same time, a single allocation, at choice, is established for decorated persons fitting more categories of beneficiaries of nominal allocations.
The document will enter into force on 1 January 2019.
Presently, there is a single cross-type distinction, namely International Missions’ Cross, in the system of Moldova’s state decorations.
About 100 Moldova’s citizens annually participate in international missions/operations. Starting from 1997 so far, about 600 servicemen have taken part in international missions. A number of 120 of them established their right to pension and a half of them were awarded different state distinctions. About 30 active military are decorated yearly.
