Moldovan health minister gives details about reforms in field

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Svetlana Cebotari offered, in an interview given exclusively for MOLDPRES, details about the reforms due to be implemented in the health sector.
According to the minister, the next reform will focus on the hospital system that includes 71 hospitals.
"In late 2017, the reform of the public health system began. Now we have initiated and will continue the primary health care reform. This will start in the rural sector. At the same time, activities in the pre-hospital emergency care are ongoing, by providing ambulances, by creating the necessary conditions, which is a mandatory factor for the hospital reform. Then the next important step will be followed - the hospital sector reform," Cebotari said.
The minister noted that all these reforms aim to optimize public spending in the health system, use them rationally with impact on the quality of medical services and increase public satisfaction with health services.
