Teenager from northern village of Moldova hit deadly by lightning

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ – A 14 – year – old boy died after being hit on 30 July night by lightning. The tragedy occurred while the adolescent was returning home from the field.

The case occurred in village Verejeni, Telenesti district. The info was confirmed to agency by press officer of Telenesti Police Inspectorate (IPT), Diana Maxim.

The boy would have been with his mother in the field, where the cattle were grazed. When the rain started, the woman sent her son home, but on the way he was hit by lightning.

A month ago, a 4 – year – old girl was struck deadly by lightning. The tragedy took place in Taraclia, while the child was picking apricots from a tree.
