Money from sale of former Republican Stadium to be used for sports infrastructure in country

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- The government has decided that the money obtained from the sale of land belonging to the Republican Stadium would be used for the country's sports infrastructure. The cabinet has approved a decision in this regard, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

“I want to end all speculation. Let me be very clear that this money will be directed to development of sports infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova ", Prime Minister Pavel Filip said.

Also, the initiation of negotiations for signing the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the United States of America on the land for the construction of the US Embassy in Chisinau was approved. Land area for sale is 5,1814 ha.
