Cicrulation of heavy transport on capital's roads to be restricted

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- The circulation of heavy goods vehicles on public roads in the capital is forbidden on days with temperatures exceeding 30 ° Celsius. A provision in this respect was issued today by acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu.
According to the Chisinau city hall, the restrictions are set for means of transport weighing over 20 tons and are valid between 10.00 and 20.00.
The decision does not cover means of transport of passengers, live animals and perishable products of animal and plant origin, those involved in major force interventions, equipped with first aid equipment or involved in the prevention and liquidation of emergencies, for the transport of goods under controlled temperature and those involved in the rehabilitation of roads, within the limits of construction sites.
The action was taken to prevent damage to public roads in high temperature conditions.
For the coming days, meteorologists forecast temperatures up to +32 degrees Celsius during the day, and up to +20 degrees Celsius at night.
