Moldova's central – eastern district leader in national programme of road repairs

Chisinau, 02 August /MOLDPRES/ – Dubasari district is the first one where all road repair works have been completed under programme "Drumuri bune pentru Moldova" (The good roads for Moldova). Totally, about 11 km of roads have been repaired in this district and cost of works is almost MDL 27 million.

Economy and Infrastructure Minister, Chiril Gaburici, went to Cosnita locality, where the last asphalt layer was laid today on a 1 km long section of road.

"Although, at first, nobody believed in this project, because in our country none similar repairs have been made for so many kms simultaneously, here it is implemented "The good roads for Moldova". The quality is the most important. We do not make the roads for today, but for a few years," outlined the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.

Chiril Gaburici reiterated that all road sections would be put into operation after being checked by a special lab. The minister also said by road infrastructure modernisation, Moldova would become more attractive to foreign investors.

Also, Chiril Gaburici urged mayors to start discussions on selection of other segments of road to be repaired in upcoming years.

Also today, the minister verified completion of 1.1 km repair road from Parata locality, Dubasari district, specified the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI).

Programme "The good roads for Moldova" was launched earlier in 2018 and provides for rehabilitation of about 1,200 km of roads in 1,200 localities. The amount of investments will be about MDL 1.6 billion, which will be allocated from the Road und (FR) and from state budget (BS).
