Hunting season 2018-2019 to start on 18 August

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/- The hunting season 2018 - 2019 will begin in Moldova on 18 August. The government approved the limits of harvesting and set deadlines and species of animals and birds allowed for hunting.
Thus, for 2018-2019, pigeon hunting was authorized from 18 August to 30 December. From 18 August to 14 October hunting of quail is permitted. The geese, hunting will be allowed from September 22 to December 30. In the same interval, hunting of ducks, lynx, chickens will also be authorized.
According to sources from the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, the same decision set harvest limits for birds and animal species for each district and forestry enterprise. Thus, only the harvesting quota for foxes and jackals will be unlimited, in other cases the rules will be conditioned by certain circumstances of the hunting fund.
At the same time, due to the low number of species, throughout the hunting season was forbidden hunting deer, bighorn sheep, badgers, doves, pigeons and all species of raptors.
At the same time, it is forbidden to hunt along the state border at a depth of 1,000 meters from the border line inside. Hunting in these areas up to the 1,000 meters from the state border is allowed only during daylight, under the permit issued by the Border Police.
