Moldovan prime minister has meeting with heads of districts

Chisinau, 03 August /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip has had today an open and constructive dialogue with heads of districts. They talked on reforms launched by authorities, but also on sectors where there are still challenges, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The main problem faced by local government is the lack of young specialists. In connection with it, Prime Minister Pavel Filip specified that all efforts of Executive are aimed at stopping the migration among the youth.
"It is a very complex issue and it is not just a salary, in IT the salary is of over a thousand euros, but young people go abroad anyway. The problem has to be dealt with in complexity. Young people want also: developed infrastructure, medical services, education, other attitudes, and even quality fun," mentioned PM. Pavel Filip also said that, according to ASP data, 2017 was the first year when the number of those ones which go abroad declined.
The Premier also emphasised importance of economic development to ensure better quality of citizens' lives and to promote democracy. "We need to develop the country economically. Only then, we will have an authentic democracy. Only when we have a middle class, then we will have justice, and democracy, and there will be respected human rights, because there will be pressure from society upon governing," added Pavel Filip.
At their part, some heads of districts mentioned that they appreciated recent initiative by Government to organise visits of entire Cabinet of Ministers to the territory, noting that many of raised issues have already been resolved and that other issues are still to be solved.
On it, the PM referred to implemented reforms so far, particularly, strengthening the banking sector and reforming of pension system. Further, the Government will focus its actions on three major priorities: education, infrastructure and rule of law, but also stimulating business environment, ensuring quality medical services.
