Socially disadvantaged people may apply for compensation for cold season of year

Chisinau, 7 August /MOLDPRES/- Socially disadvantaged people in the capital can apply for compensation of expenses for making payments for energy and utilities for the cold season 2018-2019.

According to Chisinau city hall, applications can be submitted starting from 1 September. Beneficiaries of compensation are families whose incomes for the last 12 months are less than 3,000 lei / month for each person. Compensation for disadvantaged people will be made by 1 September 2019.

However, people who own two or more dwellings on the territory of Chisinau municipality cannot benefit from financial support for making payments for utilities and energy.

Compensation files shall be submitted to municipal housing management companies, housing fund managers, sectoral praetor’s office - for citizens living in private sector and city halls, villages in the municipality of Chisinau - for the citizens of respective administrative territories.

Citizens who have received compensations from Chisinau city hall in the previous heating season will apply for reconfirmation stating that the family's monthly incomes have not increased and that the family composition remained the same.

The socially vulnerable families, in addition to payment aid, also benefit from compensation of difference as a result of increase in the tariff for the transport of solid household waste and the payment of the additional calculated water.
