Specialists from ADR Nord studied export promotion in Japan

Chisinau, 7 August /MOLDPRES/- A group of specialists from the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord) has recently participated in a training course on export promotion strategies in Japan, under the auspices of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Trainees were able to consolidate practical knowledge on strategies for export promotion, marketing, product development concept, branding, price setting for local products etc.

“This training course is an original approach to a number of marketing and export promotion issues. At first glance, it seems easy to develop a new product, especially export-oriented, but there are many factors you need to consider: sales market, logistics costs, types of promotion, consumer's behavior, purchasing power, etc. It is important for a manufacturer, whether large or small and medium company, to first study the market to which he intends to orient his products and to verify / establish distribution channels,” a specialist in attracting investment at ADR Nord, Victoria Zabolotnîi, said.

Japanese experts provided information and organized practical exercises on product design and marketing, tools and export promotion strategy. Also, they shared with the participants in the training a series of good practices, theoretical and applied exercises, success stories in the field of export, knowledge that can benefit all interested persons who are addressing the Center for Information and Business Advice, at ADR Nord.

Japan, through its Official Development Assistance (AOD), is constantly investing in human capital in developing countries. JICA is the institution aimed at turning to good account AOD. Thus, in the 60 years since its foundation, JICA hosted representatives from around 200 countries and trained about 350,000 specialists in such areas as: good governance, urban and rural development, health and medicine, education, etc.
