Network of chargers for electric vehicles to be installed in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 August /MOLDPRES/- A network of chargers for electric vehicles will be installed in the Republic of Moldova. A project concept in this regard was approved under a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the project includes installing chargers in strategic locations in Moldova, so that it is possible to supply the electric cars in the country and ensuring corridor for electric vehicles between Romania and Ukraine through the Republic of Moldova.
"It is an ambitious project that deserves support. We have to offer electric car owners a chance to enjoy quality equipment and conditions to travel to the country," Minister Chiril Gaburici said.
The signing of the Memorandum took place at the FEE Management Board meeting. Its members approved the financing of projects involving the implementation of energy efficiency measures at the Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children no1 and gymnasium in Isnovat, Criuleni district. Also, the pilot project that provides for the repair and thermal insulation of a hostel of the Technical University of Moldova was evaluated.
