Romania strengthens leading position in trading partners' rating of Moldova

Chisinau, 07 August /MOLDPRES/ – Romania has strengthened its leadership position in Moldova's trading partners, trade between the two countries rose up to $732 million in the first half of 2018.
The Moldovan goods are increasingly demanded in Romania, as well as the acquisitions of goods from the Romanian market. The exports of Moldovan products grew by 26.5 per cent in January – June. The volume of goods exported from Moldova to Romania was $346 million.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics’s information and media communication service, Moldova imported from Romania goods in the amount of $386 million in January – June 2018, up 29 per cent from the same period of 2017.
The trade with Romania has increased considerably within recent three years as a value and weight, amid a drastic reduction in trade with Russia. The Romania's share in total exports of Moldova reached 26.5 per cent and imports up to 14 per cent.
