National energy regulatory agency extends validity of current ceiling prices for whole period until change of methodology in Moldova

Chisinau, 07 August /MOLDPRES/ – The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has announced that it extends validity of the current price ceilings for the entire period until new methodology is modified and new ceiling price is established.

The retail price of major petroleum products will be maintained at MDL 19.01/litre for petrol and MDL 16.89/litre for diesel.

Also, ANRE informs about the initiation of public consultations on the draft amendment and completion of Methodology for formation and application of prices for petroleum products. Starting from the fact that deadline for modifying methodology is 3 months from publication of Law №152 from 20 July 2018, as to refrain from repeated inclusion in average prices of Platts for similar periods, the Agency extends validity of current price ceilings for entire period until methodology is modified and new ceiling price is set, specified ANRE.

ANRE requires consumers which will face situations when retail prices of fuels applied by operators exceed ceiling prices set by ANRE, to communicate these cases to GREEN line: +373 800 10 008.
