About 3,000 people examined free of charge under "A Doctor for You" campaign

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- 2,949 people were consulted and examined free of charge during the first week of the "A Doctor for You" campaign, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

On 2-9 August, mixed teams of specialists, consisting of endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, neurologists and cardiologists, went to 12 districts, where they examined 1,067 people. At the same time, 127 children from Hincesti district were consulted free of charge by dentists, and 53 have been given preventive services.

Over the same period, 1,755 people underwent lung screening. Two vehicles equipped with radiological installations went to Criuleni and Falesti to identify cases of tuberculosis or lung cancer.

The "A Doctor for You" campaign was launched at the initiative of Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 2 August 2018. Physicians will continue to examine the villagers for free according to the established schedule. Next week the medical teams will go to Cahul and Cantemir.
