Action plan on human rights for 2018 – 2022 published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/ – The National action plan on human rights (PNADO) for 2018 – 2022 has been published in the Official Journal today. It is the Moldovan roadmap for human rights observance, ensuring and implementation of it at national level.
The document was drafted by a working group made up of representatives of central public authorities, civil society and development partners. It contains 31 objectives, 51 strategic targets from 16 areas of intervention.
The purpose of PNADO is to ensure the implementation of measures which allow development and prosperity of all people on equal terms. Particularly, it is intended to ensure that all persons, especially the ones in vulnerable groups, enjoy their fundamental rights and services within the international human rights standards.
The document stipulates that the Government will establish the National Human Rights Council, responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the National action plan.
The National action plan on human rights for 2018 – 2022 is the third public policy document aimed at realisation and promotion of human rights in Moldova.
