Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) has quitted distributing 22 medications in Moldova, which contain active substance of Valsartan, made by a Chinese manufacturer.
The decision was taken in the context of a warning launched by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) following identification of carcinogenic potential impurity within active substance of Valsartan, manufactured by a Chinese manufacturer.
Thus, immediately after receiving the rapid alert, AMDM issued an order for the recall of all Valsartan – containing active medicines to the pharmacy level.
