Chisinau, 11 August /MOLDPRES/ – Moldovan National Youth Orchestra will present 12 concerts during classical music expedition La La Play, on 13 – 25 August in Moldova, Romania and Ukraine.
According to organisers, project La La Play #drumdedor aims to reflect throughout art 12 social subjects, as well as to promote the tourist treasures of Moldova. Thus, within 12 days, 16 young musicians, journalists, photographers and directors will cover 2,000 km.
"In 2016, we understood that we had to go out of Chisinau and go to areas where people do not have the chance to listen to academic music. This is the way it appeared La La Play, a project that we love a lot and which taught us many things. Throughout this expedition we want to capitalise on potential of art, create bridges and tackle certain social issues," said director of Moldovan National Youth Orchestra and project manager, Andriano Marian.
All project concerts will be held in open air, in places where classical music has never sounded yet. The first concert will take place on 14 August in camping Duruita in the Duruitoarea Veche village, Rascani district, starting at 19:00, after which young artists will go to Ocnita, Balti, Leova, Taraclia and other localities. The expedition will end on 24 August with an international concert at Cetatea Alba, built in 13th century, which, according to historians, is one of largest cities in Eastern Europe.
The first La La Play issue took place in 2017. Within it, the young artists travelled 1,600 km and presented 11 concerts in 11 districts of Moldova in front of 3,500 rural viewers.
