Number of wagons on Chisinau-Odessa-Chisinau to be doubled in late August

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- The number of wagons on Chisinau-Odessa-Chisinau will be doubled in the second half of August, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The decision was taken due to the increased number of passengers.

Thus, on 17, 18, 19 and 24, 25, 26 and 27 August 2018, the train set will be composed of two sections. Instead of 4 wagons, there will be 8, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure said.

“In order to cope with the large number of passengers going to Odessa this period, it was decided to double the number of wagons from 4 to 8," Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici said.

The Chisinau-Odessa-Chisinau train was put into circulation in late March. Passenger customs control is carried out at the Railway Station in Chisinau, before embarking on the train, and the procedure is not repeated at the border.
