Chisinau municipality urban bus park offers over one hundred vacancies

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/ – Over one hundred vacancies are announced within the Municipal Enterprise "Parcul Urban de Autobuze" (PUA) (Urban Bus Park). The announcement was made today by interim manager of PUA, Vitalie Copaci, during a weekly meeting of mayoral services of Chisinau municipality.  

According to the quoted source, most of vacancies are for drivers, taxi drivers and car locksmiths. "The salaries for these positions are almost MDL 7,000," said Vitalie Copaci.

"Appropriate working conditions and right wages must be offered to find willing to engage. We have to discuss with the employees and check the working conditions in the municipal enterprises", said interim mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu.

Also, management of the Municipal Enterprise PUA stated that since the beginning of 2018, institution has recorded incomes of MDL 14.7 million from passenger transport, 01 per cent less than in 2017. "There were transported 6.5 million passengers. Similarly, there were recorded debts of over MDL 17 million. These are salaries and contributions, fuel payments, lubricants and spare parts. There are also issues such as obsolete rolling stock, lowering revenue, low passenger numbers, quitting bus routes, increased operating costs and debt to suppliers," said Vitalie Copaci.

Copaci also presented perspective objectives of company: assembly and endowment of transport units, implementation of modern charging technologies and increase in quality of passenger services.

The Municipal Enterprise PUA owns 126 buses, which run on 24 routes, out of which 19 are suburban. Between January – May, there are 99 buses on the routes, and in summer – 87 transport units.
