Euro cheapens even more related to MDL

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/ – The European single currency (ESC) (€) cheapens even more. It will cost MDL 18,79 on 14 August, MDL 0,11 less than today, according to the official exchange rates displayed by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).

Thus, USD ($) will get dearer by MDL 0,03 on 14 August. It will have an official exchange rate of MDL 16,51.

For Romanian leu (RON), BNM published a rate of MDL 04,03, MDL 0,03 below the level of today. The exchange rates for Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) and Russian rouble (RUR) will remain at the level set for Monday and value MDL 0,60 and MDL 0,24, accordingly.

The official exchange rate is the price of MDL against currencies of other countries. It is calculated based upon of exchange rates established by licenced banks in buying/selling transactions of currencies with their customers and other banks. Thus, the official exchange rate reflects ratio of demand to foreign exchange supply in foreign exchange market of Moldova.
