Anti-heat tents to be set up in several localities

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/- More anti-heat tents will be installed today in several localities.

Press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Liliana Puscaşu said that the rehabilitation points should be set up in five sectors of Chisinau and in Balti, Cahul and Comrat.

Since the beginning of the summer season, nine anti-heat tents have been installed in the country, which more than 7,400 citizens addressed. "Most often, older people and mothers with children need help," Puscasu said.

According to physicians, in order to prevent the negative effects of heat and sunstroke, people should avoid excessive sun exposure between 11.00-18.00 hours, wear sun-hats, cloths of light colors, drink at least two liters of liquid, avoid beverages with high caffeine or sugar and eat as many fruits and vegetables as possible.

The State Hydrometeorological Service announced yesterday the Yellow Code of Heat for 14-16 August, predominantly in the central and southern districts. During this period, the maximum air temperature will reach 34 ° C.
