Passengers of bus station in Moldovan southern city to benefit from better transport conditions

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/ – The bus station in Basarabeasca was reopened recently after renovation works. It has a waiting room, a sanitary block and windows for selling tickets.
According to data provided by I.S. "Gari si Statii Auto" (GSA) (The bus stations and stops), there were minimal expenses for arrangement and repair of Basarabeasca bus station – around MDL 33,000. Also, the authorities analise the possibility of taking space for arrangement of platforms, while cost of works being estimated at MDL 100,000.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, went to the Basarabeasca bus station today. "In May, when I visited the so – called bus station in Basarabeasca, I saw travellers waiting on their way, because there were no waiting areas. This is an example of good cooperation of Railroad station and GSA, to create the right conditions: an air – conditioned waiting room and a sanitary block for passengers," said Chiril Gaburici.
The branch in Basarabeasca serves 45 routes. According to the MEI's information and media communication service, there were transported over 71,000 passengers throughout the Basarabeasca bus station and with the sold tickets in the amount of MDL 2.17 million in 2017.
