Almost 20 tons of Moldovan apples prohibited in Russia

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Russian federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has prohibited access to Russian territory of about 20 tons of apples from Moldova.
According to a Rosselkhoznadzor's information and media communication service, there were found Oriental moth larvae (Grapholitha molesta Busck) in the Moldovan apple party. The batch of apples has been identified by Rosselkhoznadzor inspectors for Oriol and Kursk regions.
The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in Russia stated that lab expertise confirmed the existence of pests in Moldovan apples.
