Four Moldovans involved in work accident at construction site in St. Petersburg

Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/- Four Moldovan citizens suffered in an accident at work in St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation, on 14 August.
The head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Alexandr Roitman, said that the ministry and the Moldovan Embassy in Moscow took notice of the work accident.
"The embassy is in constant contact with the local authorities and the hospital where the victims are hospitalized and provides the latest information to the Moldovan authorities. The ministry reminds that Moldovan citizens can apply for consular assistance under the emergency number of the Moldovan embassy in Moscow: +7 929 964 9079 ", Roitman said.
The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Liliana Puscasu, said that men are aged between 29 and 41 years.
"Our country's citizens were injured on the building site where they were working. They would have fallen from a scaffold while doing some work. All are hospitalized. One of them is in serious condition and the others are in a stable condition. IGSU is monitoring the situation and will intervene when necessary after elucidating the circumstances," Puscasu said.
It is not yet known whether the victims will be transported to Chisinau. A decision to this effect is to be taken by the government.
