Moldovan PM calls for involvement of responsible institutions to repatriate deceased victim

Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/- A Moldovan citizen died after a highway bridge collapsed in Genoa, Italy, on 14 August. Prime Minister Pavel Filip today conveyed a message of condolences to the Italian people and all grieving families. He said that the authorities will get involved in providing the necessary assistance to repatriate our fellowman, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
“The government will intervene this time. Every citizen is important to us, and the pain of the family is our pain, all,” he said.
The premier asked the responsible institutions to deal with repatriation of the deceased person. The Moldovan Consulate in Milan will provide the necessary support in this respect.
Our countryman is among the 38 people who died in the collapse of a highway bridge in Genoa. Dozens of people have been seriously injured or are missing.
