Civil society organisations can obtain grants to develop community social services in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/ – The local civil society organisations can receive grants of up to €50,000 to develop or expand community social services for children from vulnerable groups and persons with intellectual and psychosocial problems.
The representative of EU Delegation to Moldova, Fabien Schaeffer, said today at a press conference that about 30 civil society organisations could benefit from grants. The total amount allocated to Grant Programme is €1.5 million.
The planned initial duration for project activities may not be less than 6 months and may not exceed 24 months. The projects can be implemented on 01 December 2018 – 30 November 2020. The deadline for submission of project proposals is 04 October 2018 at 16:00.
The beneficiaries of grants can become civil society organisations of local, non – profit, registered in Moldova, operating out of Chisinau city. They will be directly responsible for project preparing and managing without acting as an intermediary. The proposed activity within project is to be implemented in locality in which organisation operates.
The grant programme is financed from EU sources and co – financed by Soros Foundation – Moldova.
