Indian trade minister agrees to facilitate organisation of promotion actions of Moldovan wine products in India

Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/ – The identifying opportunities to boost trade which will benefit Moldova and India, advancing negotiations on agreements with economic and civil aviation, were the subject of discussions of Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, and Minister of Commerce, Industry and Civil Aviation of India, Suresh Prabhu, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
The head of Moldovan diplomacy encouraged Indian companies, especially in IT field, to enter Moldovan market, which offers preferential terms to foreign investors.
Also, Tudor Ulianovschi proposed to organize mutual visits of entrepreneurs, development of economic forums, B2B events, with the participation of Indian and Moldovan companies.
"We are interested in attracting investment from India, a priority in the field of information technologies, pharmaceutical industry, textile industry – sectors which can be found in Moldovan business environment", specified Tudor Ulianovschi.
A special topic under discussion was the promotion of Moldovan wines in India, and the Indian side expressed willingness to facilitate organisation of promotion of Moldovan wine products. "We are available to facilitate the promotion of Moldovan viticultural products in India," said Indian official.
In other range of ideas, Minister Suresh Prabhu noted the success of Indian government in promoting reforms to economic development of the country, improve infrastructure and business experience which wanted to share with Moldovan experts.
It was also agreed to organise a mission of Moldovan businessmen working in textile production in New Delhi in September 2018 to be followed by a response visit by Indian businessmen to Moldova, by the end of 2018.
